Following a successful career in electronics, Richard Lemke began drawing and painting in 1992. After a lot of trial and error and taking workshops, a desire to further improve his 2-D art skills led to two periods of study at studio art schools in Florence, Italy: in 1996 at Daniel Graves Florence Academy of Art, and in 1999 at The Charles Cecil Studios. Richard now lives in Ashland, Oregon.
